Loose Ends

This is the last photo of Dad and I, or is it Dad and me...never did get that right in school.....you can tell he is sick in this picture.
Been busy taking care of dad's house, and final bills. Yesterday we boxed up some of his things. The boys went thru and picked out some things they wanted to keep. It was really hard on all of us. Anthony asked for his hat and that just sent me on a crying jag. Can you believe the death certificates came back wrong! As if this whole mess isn't hard enough on me! Well I can see that this is very involved. Much more than I thought it would be. I may end up having to get a lawyer. I need these bills now, just getting home from China. Dad died without a will, please everyone write your will. This is the reason why I've been quiet lately. There just is zero time to get anything done. To those I promised packages, I will get them to you very soon....hang in there for me.....

AND....Bruce's dad went in the hospital last night........he has been very sick. Can I scream????

Some Favorites from China

Ok, I am sorry so long in posting. Jet lag is as bad as they say. And yes there is no time when you get home for anything! Shop before you go and pack your freezer with frozen dinners cause you are too tired when you get back to do anything! Thank goodness a good friend cooked some meals for us because we probably wouldn't have eaten. Well now I have to figure out about getting Emily re-adopted in the US because we are one of the States that wants this for school. Not that she is going anytime soon. That and getting dad's estate done has kept me pretty busy. Plus Emily is 2 and VERY mobile! She has shocked me a couple of times already. I thought she was trying to drown in the tub only to realize that she was getting on her elbows so that I could wash her hair.....AMAZING AT 2! She also eats neater than my 7 and 10 yr old. No mess whatsoever! And she knows how to put on her clothes by herself!! Every day she shocks me some more!! It's like a 20 yr old stuck in a 2 yr old body! She also knows when she is doing something bad, because she will look at you and then start laughing. No one has the heart to tell her no, and we need to start because I see a bad pattern coming here.........

We are Home

Friends sorry there were no posts in China, but we had a hard time with the internet. I did manage to send one photo home. I guess I suffered enough before I left home because Emily did great. She cried at Gotcha day for about an hour and that was it. She bonded right away to me, and came around to Bruce on day 4. She was very quiet at first but now she is laughing and talking Chinese. I don't have a clue what she is saying, but she knows songs in Chinese and she sings! It is so cute! I'm so glad after so much sorrow. Thanks to everyone that thought of us. I will post more but things right now are a mess. My dad died without a will so it's rough right now getting things taken care of. I loved China, but I'm very glad to be home!

Goodnight.......

I lost my daddy today at 12:30 pm. I had to make the decision. It was very hard. I held him in my arms as he was dying, and rubbed his head. The cancer just ate him up from the inside. I couldn't see him suffer anymore. He is with my mom now. She left us 10 years ago. I tried so hard to get Emily here before he went, but now he will have to be her angel.

Love to all. I am leaving tomorrow as planned. It's what he wanted. Please pray for my family. Poor Anthony is so upset. My sister is not dealing well. Pray for my brother to have the strength to get them thru this. I have made all Dad's arrangements. It's his wish that I go.

I know he is with us on this journey.

Today

My dad is back in the hospital. He is very ill. I don't know what to do. My brother and sister are telling me to go to China. Bruce was helping his mom today by working on the house. He cut his forehead and we had to go back to the hospital to get 10 stitches in his head. It's 1:00 am I have not gotten to bed yet. I don't know what to do. Bruce wants to go. I haven't even finished packing. I found out that we have the worst seats ever and that Emily doesn't have a seat with us on the way home so we have to go to Customer Service and beg. I hate my agency right now!

Happy Birthday BaBa

Bruce celebrated his 21st birthday again on Tuesday! HA! No I won't tell his real age! The boys and I took him to Outback tonight! Hayden got them to sing. It was funny because when they came to the table, Hayden was in the bathroom so I asked everyone to wait. So Anthony ran to get Hayden! I hope he washed his hands!! Anyway, I told him this is the last birthday without his baby girl, and I think I saw some tears.......

I know it's last minute, but I feel like I need to find SOMETHING to say "Thank You!" to the nannies. They basically had to feed and massage Emily around the clock for MONTHS. They didn't believe she would make it. So I owe them everything. What can I get besides the same old stuff.........

Exploding Suitcase

Ok the packing is not going good. The roof is leaking. Man is coming Friday, wants cash! The agency will let us know possibly tomorrow what we owe for the trip....praying we have enough! Sister in law is now in total panic. I said "Let's stay at a hotel by the airport so we don't have to sit in DC traffic." Well that just freaked her out...Ok do I tell her we must be there at least 2 hours early?

Job is bad, very bad. Thought things were good, now less than a week and clients are not happy.

Bruce's job still hasn't got his family leave straight. His last day is FRIDAY!

Both boys sound like they are getting colds....ok scream now! Doctor won't let me take antibotics!! How do I fix an ear infection in China?

Still don't know when Gotcha Day will be.............

Cat got out, climbed a tree, wouldn't come down...thought I'd have to call 911. Do they even come for that? Well the darn thing got hungry and basically fell his way to the bottom..he is ok, although I could KILL him!

Well I've got to the I can't worry with it anymore stage........I'd be having a drink except I don't drink anything much stronger than iced tea........
