Update

Regina just let me know that she will have her baby on August 13th! Congratulations!! Finally some good news around here!!!!

This weekend has been awful, I will post later, I want everyone to share Regina's joy here!! I'm hoping with Regina's paperwork that Maryellen and Sandy got some good news too...they are waiting on TA

Congrats to our friends!!

Regina has received her TA....that is travel approval for anyone not in the adoption world....What this means is SHE IS GOING TO CHINA!!!!!! I finally know an adopting family!! Regina is with our agency!!! I'm so excited!!!!

15 Months and Still Waiting

I posted this to the wrong blog and had to delete it....need coffee!

Well 15 months and it has been a rough month. We have not been on vacation in 2 years. I think we need to go. The problem is with Dad being so sick, I'm afraid to go too far from home. We may stay in, turn off the phones, and just chill.....maybe an overnight for the kids at a nearby destination, with a pool (that's all they want anyway)....

We are going to hear TA very soon for 2 of our friends, so finally we will know someone in China.....I guess that means that we are getting to that light at the end of the very long tunnel.....

Quiet Times

Oh these quiet times before referrals are the worst aren't they...everyone waiting, and holding their breath to see what CCAA is going to do...

Well here is what we are up to this week..the garden...these are my daycare children....well some of them...all these vacations, and days off, I never know how many are going to show up.....

Am I annoying

Ok, getting paranoid here....do I whine? too much? Some people are complaining that people are whinny about the adoption process....so be honest.....is it me? I've always had a hard time dealing with situations that are out of my control, and that stems from childhood....no we won't go there.....

I did open this blog for the adoption, so what am I supposed to write???? Ok we have been on this journey since July 2005, and still we have not adopted our daughter...ok adopting parents understand this, but family and friends don't. We hear all the time that someone has taken our money and run with it.....I was using this blog to help people understand the wait........

I don't want to sound whinny......I'm not whinny, I am dealing with the longest wait times ever, and I think we all deserve medals for that.......

Update on Dad

Well my sister and I finally got to talk. Dad's schedule has changed yet again. For the moment he will receive Chemo every Monday. Radiation is daily until Aug 6th. The doctors seem to keep changing their minds. I don't get it..... I have been reading on the internet and it says that Chemo hasn't shown any results on this type of cancer. Most people received more benefit from the radiation....
Well I hope these doctors are reading the internet!!!
