Chocolate Lowers Blood Pressure!

Trying to find something uplifting to tell you all. I know we are all going thru this terrible time...not just my adopting buddies, but it seems all my friends are having issues lately as well......

Well here is all I got......Chocolate Helps! Chocolate has now been found to lower blood pressure....it's true! And who doesn't have high blood pressure! It's called STRESS! Maybe we should call it Stress pressure. My doctor tells me to go on vacation.......right. I'll just dig up the box of $50's I buried last summer. Now before you grab a shovel, I'm kidding here......

Anyone want to tell me how to fix the time on this blog thing? It's always behind by a few hours.....stupid me I probably have it set for California instead of Maryland!!

Now OFF to lower my blood pressure!!!! hee hee......

Nothing New on the East Coast

There is zero going on.....now the last time I said that, we got news from our agency that all the children from the sn list got families.....so I'm hoping to send out another good vibe with this post.

I really need to stay away from the "wait depressed." It takes me down too. Trying to stay up lifted and say that we are in the 2nd week of July and only another year to go to our nsn referral.

We are still on the sn list. I will be very specific now when I'm told about a file. I will only accept what we stated on the paperwork. No more heartache.....Emily is out there. I hope someone is rocking her today, and kissing her little head........UNTIL I GET THERE!!!!

PS..sorry if the picture offends anyone, but I LOVE the penquin with the purse!

Today SUCKS!

Ok I'm not getting into what is going on in my world today. Those who are close to me in the adoption process know what I'm talking about. I'm just venting here so be careful if you are easily upset, but I believe there are people out there that are not concerned about children, but about making money. I tell you if we don't adopt Emily soon, I am going to have to take a second job to pay for all these hidden fees...that's all I'm going to say, but what I will say is......when you are picking companies to help out in your adoption, research, research, research! Also, we may not be eligible to receive the free extension on our 171. Seems we came in on the old pay scale, so we are not worthy.......our fingerprints expire for the 3rd time (yes I said 3rd time) in May.....each time we renew them it costs us $140.00...no we can't go to the local police station and get them done....has to be at the USCIS.....you know our fingerprints that we have all our lives, and after we are dead, expire according to the government..........do I hear a cash register??

NEWS!

Well I wasn't even going to get on the computer this morning because there has been absolutely no news lately. So I was keeping busy working on a project that I will let you see when I'm finished. So I just go on to see if my homestudy has contacted me.....of course No. I guess they are on vacation.....and I see that my May LID group has big news. Congratulations May LIDS!!

*****Stephanie if you are reading this, please send me your email. I've seem to have lost it........

A wonderful Email

My friend is thinking of adopting again. I won't go into details because I haven't asked permission to do so. Someone told her she was crazy for adopting an older child. Please never tell me this. Even if you mean it in a "nice, concerning way." I will get my feathers up in a hurry!! Children are not puppies. You don't look at their teeth and bloodlines and select the "best" one. My two boys mean the world to me. Anthony makes straight A's, Hayden struggles with special needs. Does that make either of them better than the other.................NO! They are my children.

Sadness continues

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICstHyaDXsY&mode=related&search=

A baby on the sn list with our agency has passed away. She had been hospitalized with a heart infection for some time. We had considered adopting her, but didn't feel we could handle her needs after speaking to the doctor. This was a very hard decision and I have had a hard time dealing with it. Now to find that she has passed is like saying goodbye to her little face again. Very hard day. I'm praying for the family that took her file. I can't imagine the pain.
